Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for the booking advance you pay to Helira Energy Private Limited (“Helira”) through this application. It applies to the booking advance only — all other payments are governed by your signed installation agreement. Please also read our Terms of Service.

1. What the booking advance is

To confirm your order you pay a booking advance of 2.5% of the total system cost — shown to you as “Booking: ₹X (Total system cost ₹Y)”. This advance reserves your order and lets us begin the approvals and scheduling needed to install your system. Any government subsidy you are eligible for (such as PM Surya Ghar) is credited directly to your bank account by the government after your system is commissioned — it is separate from what you pay us.

2. If we cannot deliver your system

If your system cannot proceed for reasons on our side — for example, BESCOM declines your net-metering approval, or a site survey finds your roof unsuitable for a safe installation — you receive a full refund of your booking advance, with no deduction, at whatever stage this happens. You are never out of pocket for an approval we could not obtain.

3. Cancelling before your equipment is dispatched

You may cancel for any reason and receive a full refund of your booking advance any time before your equipment is dispatched from our warehouse for installation. We absorb the payment-gateway charge in this window, so you receive the full amount you paid.

4. Cancelling after dispatch, before installation

Once your equipment has been dispatched, your order carries committed costs. If you cancel after dispatch but before installation begins on site, we refund your booking advance after deducting the costs committed to your order — the dispatched equipment and any work already completed on your behalf. We share a short statement of the deduction with your refund.

5. Once installation begins

After installation work has commenced at your site, the booking advance is non-refundable, and any balance due for work completed is governed by your installation agreement.

6. If your system size changes

If your recommended system size changes after booking and the price is lower, the excess you paid is carried as a credit toward your final balance — it is not separately refunded. If the price is higher, we will tell you before proceeding.

7. How to request a cancellation or refund

Email support@helira.in with your registered mobile number and booking reference, or message us on WhatsApp at +91 80732 91022. We process approved refunds within 7 working days. Once we initiate a refund, it typically reaches your bank account or card within 5–7 business days via our payment partner, Razorpay.

8. Grievance redressal

If a complaint about your order, payment or refund is not resolved to your satisfaction by our support team, you may escalate it to our Grievance Officer:
